Good morning, friends!
Thank you for your patience. while the migraine was mild, (I suspect brought on by the incoming weather front), finishing the book, as I normally do on Tuesdays, was not an option.
A double baby bombshell leaves one
Greek billionaire determined to claim his heirs and their mother in this twin
surprise romance by author Tara Pammi.
Two secret sons…
to redeem the billionaire.
Greek tycoon Sebastian spent three years searching for Laila Jaafri. Now she's appeared with shocking news—her toddler twins are his! Could this be playboy Sebastian’s wake-up call to step up and become the father he never had?
There’s just one problem: they hate each other! He’s furious she hid his heirs; she’s not convinced by his sudden wish to play happy families. When Laila refuses his marriage proposal, Sebastian dials up the charm, confident their explosive chemistry will convince her—only to realize his desire goes far beyond the physical…
TWINS TO TAME HIM was the first Greek-inspired romance I've read in a long time. While Harlequin Presents seem to be steamier than I remember, I think the author showed the sexual tension between Laila and Sebastian beautifully. She didn't need the physical encounters.
That aside, Tara Pammi is a talented writer. I'm not one for long, drawn-out verbiage in the character's head - not for pages! Tara Pammi does this beautifully. She kept me reading, not skipping over long passages in search of conversation.
Like most people, Sebastian and Laila have troubled pasts, roadblocks to their hearts desire caused by various forms of abuse in their younger years. Laila shows herself to be the strong one of the two, not hiding behind a wall but choosing to forge her own path. Through her experiences, she is able to help Sebastian overcome his own, allowing them to find the Happy Ever After we all hope comes in the end.
My only mark down comes from the Presents line, itself. I don't remember the line being this steamy and I don't think it's needed. Save the sex for Silhouette Desire.
With Tara Pammi's excellent writing, and Harlequin's poor decision to include sex in a category that implies a 'sweeter take on romance, I'm giving TWINS TO TAME HIM:
