AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT - Roxanne Rustand

Good afternoon.

With storms the past couple of days, and again today, I've lost track of time.

I've read Roxanne's books from her early publishing days. Here's a bit about her:

Roxanne is the USA Today Bestselling, award-winning author of forty romantic suspense, mystery, and heart-warming, emotional relationship novels in the clean & wholesome and inspirational romance genres.

She got her first horse at the tender age of six, and grew up riding bareback with wild abandon throughout her small Minnesota town year around. It was like giving a child car keys! She has never been without a horse since. She showed horses for many years, and later, she and her husband raised quarter horses and thoroughbreds until their kids came along.

She's living her childhood dream, living on an acreage in the country with her husband, three horses (all elderly pasture ornaments now), a golden retriever rescue, and six fluffy barn cats--a much smaller menagerie than when their three kids were still at home. Ranches, animals, and small-town life frequently find their way into her books.

AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT - Coral Harper

 Good morning, friends!

Trying to get back on track between events. The writer's conference was full of great information; lots to think about. The Hearties Virtual Retreat is this weekend giving me an opportunity to apply some of what I learned.

One thing was BIC HOK... if you know what that means, tell me in the comments. In able to treat this like a business, I have to be writing, prolifically.

Coral Harper does this well. Check out her author page in the link below to see just how she treats her writing as a business. Another thing we talked about was what image to use in place of your headshot for privacy reasons. Coral uses her logo image.

Let's learn a bit about Coral Harper

BIO:

Coral Harper is an author of feel good beach reads along with other clean and wholesome fiction. When not publishing books, Coral enjoys soaking up the sun with family and traveling the world. Be sure to check out The Seahorse Cottage, Trip of a Lifetime, Stargaze Island, and The Nantucket Estate.

AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT - London James

 Good morning, friends!

I seem to be picking up Historical fiction lately. I had to work to find this author's information. The website listed on her Amazon author page is incorrect. I found the correct one by doing a Google search. How did we find information before Google? I'm hoping all the links below are correct. You will notice in her bio she writes under three different pen names, publishing everything under Long Valley Press.

Let's get to know London James:

Welcome to my humble abode on the interwebs! Who am I, you ask? Well, I'm a wordsmith who creates literary magic in my fuzzy pants while surrounded by my furry feline friends and beloved equine companions. I pen Sweet Historical Romance and Sweet Contemporary Romance under the pen name London James, while my alter ego, Angela Christina Archer, delves into Historical Fiction, Women's Fiction, and Historical Romance.

Hailing from the wilds of Nevada, reading was never my top priority when I had horses to ride and shows to attend. But when I did find a quiet moment, I devoured the Saddle Club Series, Sweet Valley High, and the classics like Anne of Green Gables, The Box Car Children, and Little House on the Prairie. Writing always fascinated me, but it wasn't until 2009 that I finally took the plunge and started penning my debut novel.

When I'm not lost in the world of words, you'll find me on my ranch with my doting hubby, two beautiful daughters, and an assortment of farm animals. As a homeschooling mom, I keep busy from dawn till dusk, tending to my garden, baking up a storm, and ensuring my furry and feathered friends are happy and healthy. Though I've retired from showing horses, I still hit the trails with my trusty paint horse, Honky, and love teaching my daughter how to ride her handsome horse, Chubs.

I'll be back tomorrow with my review of The Doctor's Distracting Bride. In the meantime, please visit the links below to learn more about London James, her various pen names, and wide variety of books.

AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT - Meg Moseley

 Good morning!

This week, I'm shinning the spotlight on a California girl turned southern belle.

Let's get to  know Meg Moseley:
Although I've lived more than half my life in other states, I'm still a Californian at heart. I love vintage bungalows, twisted oaks on rolling hills, and the rocky beaches of the Central Coast. A few blocks away from my childhood home stood a Lutheran church where I came to faith, first through Sunday School teachers whose kindness drew me to the kindness of God, and then through confirmation classes. The Bible verses that had been drilled into my head came to life in my heart.

After moving away from home as a teenager, I worked at a variety of jobs, from candle-maker in a tourist town to administrative assistant at a Christian college. I married a wonderful man from Michigan, and we lived north of Detroit for seventeen years. That's where we started homeschooling our three children, an endeavor that we finished in Georgia when our youngest graduated from high school in 2009.

My husband and I live near Atlanta, close to the foothills of the Southern Appalachians. His motorcycle often carries us to the mountains of Georgia, Tennessee, or the Carolinas. Sitting on the back of the bike, I can pray, enjoy the beautiful views, and plot new stories. Fiction makes my world go 'round, whether I'm writing it or reading it

Tomorrow, I'll be reviewing Book 6 (of an 11-book series). In the mean time, please click on the links below to find out more about Meg and her books:

AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT - May North

 Good morning, friends!

After a brief thunderstorm this morning, I'm jumping in before the next wave hits. Today's weather is going to be perfect for curling up with a cup of coffee, my cat (Tabitha), and a good book.

Let's meet this week's author, May North:

While May spends most of the days doing what she loves–writing–she also loves her two boys and reading books. As May has grown older, she realized her taste in books changed. She wanted books that felt like a warm blanket and hot chocolate on a cold winter day. So, she started writing those books. She hopes her books give you the joy and comfort it does her bringing them to life!

May North offers several boxed sets on her Amazon page. We'll be checking out one of the others later in the month.  For now, you can learn more about May's books by clicking either of the links below.

AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT - Eden Larsen

 Good morning, friends!

A quick note:

While I read/ review novella-length books every week, I do this for two reasons. The biggest one is time. My main focus since Bob retired is spending time with him and take care of our home. He didn't retire after 42 years for me to sit with my nose in my book/ kindle. The second reason is to give you a taste of an author's work. This enables you to decide in a limited mount of time if this is an author you want to further discover. Also, I've joined Kindle Unlimited so most books are available on Kindle Unlimited. Please remember to leave a review.

With that, let's meet this week's author:

While Eden Larsen is a prolific author you won't find her with a website, a FB page, etc. She focuses on building her readership through Amazon and Goodreads.  Here's a bit about Eden.

Eden Larsen was born in a little town in northeast Utah, the youngest of four children. Over the years, she has developed a love for books, puzzles, and nativity sets. A tradition in her house is to watch as many Hallmark movies throughout the year. She has been dubbed “favorite aunt” by her nieces and nephews. She hopes to retain this title throughout her entire life.

When Eden isn’t writing, she is raising an intelligent, creative, and imaginative teenage boy. Together, they live in southwest Utah.

I'll be reviewing May Flowers tomorrow. This is Book 5 in her calendar series. While the book is only 47 pages, I'm looking forward to reading the book. I'm hoping the story is captivating enough for me to go back and read the other eleven books.

You'll find Eden Larsen on the following places:
