A NEW WEEK!

Good morning!

Well, it's been a week!
I spent Saturday with an on-line writing marathon. Completed/ polished an entire scene! That hasn't happened for a very long time.

Yesterday, when I'd planned to accomplish, I woke up with a screaming sinus headache. With an early morning rain, the pollen count had skyrocketed and I felt it. I went back to bed. LOL

Today, the sun is shining and all I want to do is clean.

INTERNET ISSUES

As hard as I try to keep the blogs updated, the internet just is not cooperating. My connection here in the boonies is slow. Trying to participate in writing groups on YouTube is become more challenging as more and more people are streaming lives. That really sucks YouTube's power.

I have an editorial calendar and I'm going to do my best to keep up the posts.
If I'm not here, know my internet isn't playing nice and instead, I'm finishing the book.

I also noticed my calendar on the side-bar is in serious need of updating. I'll work on that this week.

I have Writer's Nest authors lined up through October. I'll be posting that schedule on the sidebar soon so you'll know who is coming up when.

In the mean time, stay home, stay safe, and read books by your favorite authors.

Happy Reading!

MONDAY CHECK - IN and WINNER!

Good morning, everyone!
I hope you have recovered from the food binge and shopping of last week. If you are shopping on-line today for Cyber Monday, please pay attention to the site securities and guard your personal information as best you can. I am adamant about not using a Debit card anywhere except my actual bank location. And when it comes to credit cards, the safest thing you can do is buy pre-paid cards and use those on-line. This will also help you stay within your budget and avoid the 'oh shiny things' moments.

I loved having Shanna Hatfield in last week as part of the American Mail Order Bride Series. I can not wait to read this entire series.

Our winner for last week was Alisa Boisclair. Congratulations, Alisa!

I have posted the December line-up of AMOB authors on the sidebar. Emily Claire will join us on Wednesday. I hope you will come back and say hello.

Today is the final day for NanoWrimo. While I did not win, I am pleased with my decision to figure out how to get my heroine talking.

I have three days to see if I can round out the final touches to the rough draft of Book 1 in the Branson series. I'm making progress but I think I will be happier for the time and I'm already seeing things that will bleed into Book 2 when I try that one again for JANO - in January. ;-)

Have a great week!
Angela

COMING UP FOR AIR!

February 3rd, the ground hog was blessed with his shadow and JANO 2014 is behind me. That about sums up the past two weeks.

I did not finish the rough for Heart on the Line. The story just did not want to come out. I didn't have writer's block by any means. Words were flowing fine on everything else but my characters, Kassie and Bo, were determined to hide on the tour bus and not deal with their feelings. On January 30th, they decided to step out of the shadows and begin their journey to man and wife - thanks to a nudge from deceased Granny Pearl. I wrote over 4,000 words in the last two days of JANO, turning in a total word count of 25,038. Half way is good.

Our JANO after-party is scheduled for this Saturday and snow is in the forecast so as of right now, I'll be missing the celebration (4-hr round trip in snow does not sound fun!) But that's okay. Hubby is only home one more week. Once he is back on the road I can work round the clock again to get more accomplished in a day (and half a night).

For now... I just want to get business done during the day and spend time with him in the evening.

Happy Writing!
Angela!
