I remember having the discussions in school about HIV/ AIDS. That was a pretty scary topic. Sadly, while we embrace people, we still don't talk about the struggles they go through to love someone.. regardless of gender.
If you know someone who is gay, please ask if they've been tested lately. Be a friend. Be the friend you would want them to be for you.
Then go find a really good M/M romance to read.
